10.6.4. Anti-discrimination policy

Istanbul Kültür University implements an institutional policy based on a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination, ensuring equal opportunities for all individuals. This policy is shaped in accordance with the university’s “Kültür Constitution (https://www.iku.edu.tr/tr/kultur-anayasasi )” and the Gender Equality Policy, which was updated in 2024.

The university guarantees that no individual is subjected to discrimination in educational, research, or administrative processes on the basis of gender, ethnicity, religion, language, disability, or socioeconomic background. In this context, it operates under the principles of “respecting all thoughts and beliefs” and “considering the expression of different opinions as a natural right.” The university’s anti-discrimination approach is grounded in human rights, the principles and reforms of Atatürk, and universal values.

The anti-discrimination policy is regularly reviewed within the framework of the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle and is supported by awareness activities, trainings, and social responsibility projects focused on gender equality, equal opportunity, and diversity.
