Istanbul Kültür University adopts a participatory decision-making approach within its institutional governance structure, ensuring that the opinions of both internal and external stakeholders are reflected in strategic planning, educational processes, and community engagement activities. The External Stakeholder and Alumni Advisory Board meetings, held regularly across the university, enable academic units to shape their curricula, quality assurance processes, and social responsibility projects in line with current sectoral and societal needs.

Throughout 2024, stakeholder participation was strengthened at the faculty and departmental levels. In the fields of Interior Architecture, Communication and Design, and Art and Design, meetings were held with the participation of sector representatives, local government stakeholders, alumni, and students. During these meetings, topics such as improving educational practices, increasing internship and employment opportunities, developing joint projects, and establishing sponsorship collaborations were discussed.

For instance, the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design renewed its internship protocols with Özgüven Architecture and Delta Construction, providing students with hands-on professional experience, while also supporting competitions and seminars organized by partner companies.

This participatory structure enables the university to continuously enhance its academic programs and community engagement activities through the active involvement of local communities, civil society organizations, and industry representatives.
